Aim of the project:

• To derive students' awareness towards the environment and to create the feeling of responsibility towards our society and environment.
• To take an active role in a project that would make our environment a better place to live.

Visit 1:  Nature Walk, Büyükkonuk Village

Objectives: to guide the students to observe the nature and gain more environmental awareness.

Backup: In case the weather is not suitable for outdoor activities, students will prepare leaflets in their classrooms on environmental issues and walk around the building and distribute the leaflets to raise awareness on the issue.

Visit 2:  Litter Collection, Bedis Picnic Area / Glapsides

Objectives: to engage the students in litter collection and to increase recycling awareness.

Name of the Project: Discovering Turkish Cypriot Culture

Project Teacher: Arzu Cevher Onbaşı

Code: TCC Group 2

The aim of the 'Discovering Turkish Cypriot Culture' Community Involvement Project is for our students to learn about and experience the traditions and the culture of Northern Cyprus. By learning about Northern Cyprus, students will be able to integrate into the local community more easily, build friendships, share information about their own cultures, and develop their own skills and abilities. Overall, this project provides students with the opportunity to increase their awareness of Turkish Cypriot culture and compare it with their own culture.

Please note as the aim of this project is to familiarise Turkish and foreign students with Turkish Cypriot culture, it's kindly requested that Cypriot students register for other projects.

VISIT 1:  Arabahmet Mosque, Derviş Paşa Mansion, Büyük Han and Selimiye

               Mosque (Nicosia) (Observing the Cypriot culture and history)

VISIT 2:. Salamis Ruins, Bogaztepe and Turnalar village (Observing

The aim of the 'Discovering Turkish Cypriot Culture' Community Involvement Project is for our students to learn about and experience the traditions and the culture of Northern Cyprus.
